THE EXTENDED FAMILY

This market is a natural progression from our Senior and Boomer market. As families deal with the realities of caring for parents, while still raising their children, an old form of living has reemerged. In the 40's and 50's it was known as the mother-in-law cottage. This concept of having one's parent live on the same property has expanded to the "family compound". The small cottage in the back of the property is now replaced with multiple housing units on acerage or a main house with expanded living quarters for elderly parents, teenagers or twenty-something's just starting out. We believe this segment will continue to grow dramatically in the coming years.
